This infamous day witnessed a series of coordinated attacks by the extremist group Al-Qaeda on the United States, resulting in immense loss of life and significant impacts on society, politics, and international relations. This exposition explores the tragic events of 9/11, its immediate aftermath, and the lasting effects it had on the world. On the morning of September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airplanes. Two of the planes were flown into the iconic Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, causing both towers to collapse within hours.
